Welcome to PlatyPan! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PlatyPan mobile application ("App") and related services provided by PlatyPan ("we", "our", or "us"). By using our App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PlatyPan, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PlatyPan is an AI-powered recipe application that provides:

  • AI-generated recipe suggestions and creation
  • Recipe storage and organization
  • Dietary preference and allergy management
  • Step-by-step cooking guidance
  • Recipe translation and unit conversion

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the App.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

PlatyPan offers both free and premium subscription tiers:

  • Free Tier: Limited access to AI features and recipe storage
  • Premium Tier: Unlimited access to all features (subject to fair use)

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation policies are governed by the respective platform's terms.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of recipes and content you create. By using the App, you grant us a license to store, display, and process your content to provide our services.

You agree not to submit content that:

  • Violates any applicable laws
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains harmful, offensive, or inappropriate material

6. AI-Generated Content

Our AI features generate recipe suggestions and content. Please note:

  • AI-generated recipes are suggestions and may not be perfect
  • Always use common sense and proper food safety practices
  • Verify ingredients if you have severe allergies, as AI may make errors
  • We do not guarantee nutritional accuracy of AI-generated content

7. Allergen and Dietary Disclaimers

Important: While PlatyPan attempts to filter recipes based on your dietary preferences and allergies, we cannot guarantee that all recipes are free from allergens or suitable for your specific dietary needs.

  • Always verify ingredients before consuming any food
  • Consult with healthcare professionals about dietary restrictions
  • We are not liable for allergic reactions or health issues

8. Fair Use Policy

Premium subscriptions are subject to a fair use policy. Excessive automated use, abuse of AI features, or attempts to circumvent usage limits may result in account suspension.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by PlatyPan and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our App or content
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the App
  • Use our trademarks without permission

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the past 12 months

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, and we may delete your data.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland.
